Now that summer is finally here, relaxation time begins. But that doesn’t mean you have to relax when it comes to drinking. So I ask you, the heirs to the throne, to come with us and set sail with good ole Captain Mo.

Captain Morgan is a rum made in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was originally produced in 1944 by the Seagram Company, under the name Captain Morgan Rum Company. In the 1950’s Seagram’s sold the brand to Diageo. In 1984 Diageo introduced Captain Morgan Spiced Rum to the United States, and they continue to produce today. The Captain Morgan Brand now has several varieties such as Black Label, Parrot Bay, Private Stock, Silver Spiced, Tattoo, and 100 Proof

When to drink Captain Morgan
Captain Morgan is quite a versatile product that you fix it to fit your mood. If you are looking for an easy way to get wasted, you can start off with some shots. However but if you want to take it a bit slower but still get the same effect you can go with a mixed drink of captain, with the most popular being Captain and Coke. If you are even looking to cut back on the carbs/calories you can always shoot for captain and diet. Captain is great for parties, since you’ll get the same effect as a 30 pack, but it’s a little easier to carry. It’s also great for the bars as well, even though it may run you a tad bit more than a beer, it packs the same punch or even more depending how kind the bartender is to you. So when your thinking about going to your next party or just out on the town, we highly suggest you get a little Captain in you.

When not to drink Captain:
After a long night of partying, you wake up with a dry mouth and the only thing in front of you is the captain and an old beer, go with the old beer. Or if you’re your at the point where your BAC is higher than your GPA, you might want to stay clear of the captain. I think we are all aware that alcohol impairs our decisions, but if your already on the tipsy side and your looking to steer clear of a bad choices, then you might want to get off the captain and stick to just the cola.
