All guys should have seen the movie 300 starring Gerard Butler. It was an action thriller full of gore and violence. In the movie, all of the spartan warriors are in incredible shape. Some have six packs, and some even have 8 packs!! What is the secret? Wouldn’t you like to know how to get an 8 pack. Here is the famous 300 workout.

BACKGROUND OF THE WORKOUT

There has been a lot of talk about the workout Gerard Butler used to get into shape for the movie 300. The workout was generated by Mark Twight and consisted of 300 total repetitions from a variety of exercises. The actors and stuntmen trained for 8 – 10 weeks at Twight’s gym, Gym Jones in Salt Lake City. The gym has no air conditioning, no mirrors, and no chairs to sit in. 300 star, Gerard Butler, trained for 12 weeks there. The goal of this workout was to get the actors in the shape as actual Spartan warriors were in. As you can see, the actors were not fooling around and this was a legit gym.

WORKOUT

This workout is called the “300 Workout”. At the end of their 3-4 months of working out, the actors were challenged to complete this workout. The workout is to be performed in series with no rest between each exercise.

a) Pullups - 25 reps

b) Deadlifts with 135lbs – 50 reps

c) Pushups – 50 reps

d) 24-inch Box jumps – 50 reps

e) Floor wipers – 50 reps (basically benchpressing 135 pounds, but holding the weight in the air while you swing your legs up and down, while not touching the floor. The ultimate Ab workout.)

f) Single-arm Clean-and-Press with 36lbs Kettlebell – 50 reps

g) Pullups – 25 reps

Only half of the actors even tried this workout, with the best time going to Andrew Pleavin, who completed this in 18 minutes and 11 seconds. Majority of the actors are ripped and if only HALF tried it, then you should wait.

Now listen, this workout is for the elite. You must be in amazing shape and trully know you can handle this. Completing this will clearly define you as a MACHINE! This workout should be your goal. Your goal should be to finish this in a row, AFTER months or years of hard training. If you are set on doing this workout, then do it with BREAKS!

WORKOUT (MODIFIED FOR THE NORMAL MAN)

This workout is similar to the “300 workout” except it is for the normal person. TRY not rest between exercises. IF YOU HAVE TO, THEN REST. DO NOT HURT YOURSELF!

15 bodyweight rows

25 bodyweight squats

15 pushups

50 jumping jacks

20 mountain climbers

10 close grip pushups

15 bodyweight rows

DIETING

The entire diet is composed of dining in hell. Unsure if that means eating harpies, Hades, demons, or lucifer. We were too scared to ask questions.

IN THE END

If you have seen the movie, you see how crazy the actors bodies are. This workout is for the elite and not to be taken lightly! DO THE MODIFIED WORKOUT FIRST! Save the actual workout for a day when you feel ready. The workout will get you in amazing shape, however you can get hurt so be careful!

You asked for it…you got it! After we unveiled the five guys you’ll find in every college lecture, we answered your prayers and vuola! May we present five girls you’ll find in every lecture.

1. The Girl Who Does Her Hair/Makeup/Nails

She apparently didn’t have time to do it in her dorm, so she’s doing it in class. I have no problem with girls and their hair, they usually just wear it in a ponytail or out..or whatever it’s called when it’s not tied up. Makeup is pushing it, because you didn’t come to class to look sexy (although my phallus appreciates it). I hate it when girls paint their nails in class, because I can’t stand the smell of nail polish. The smell of glue, now that’s a different story. Huh? Go to the bathroom and do that, God knows they spend ridiculous amounts of time in there anyways.

2. The Girl Who DOESN’T do her Hair/Makeup/Nails

To put it frankly….this girl looks like ass. Her hair is frizzy and all over the place, her eyes still have sleepies in them, and her hands look like she washed them with rocks. 99% of the time she will look awful. The days she doesn’t, you don’t recognize her until you ask like an idiot “did you just transfer to this class?” only to find out it’s been her all along… true story.

3. The Texter

Guys and girls are equally guilty of this, but damn girls make it an art form. The Blackberries are grafted to their hands, and when they type your eyes bleed from the blinding speed they text at. Seems like they’re writing the next all American novel too; the sheer volume of typing they do in class is equivalent to a semesters worth of papers. Ok I might be exaggerating. Or……..am I?

4. The Hot Girl Who Never Does Her Work

You’ve never seen her lift her pen. You see her texting, but you never see her textbook. Yet, she’s still in the class. Is she paying attention? No, she’s idly doodling while you’re cramping your hands trying to take stellar notes. She supremely unconcerned about the class…..which is why she sits next to you. One batting of her eyelash and you automatically give up your notes to her, all slack-jawed and tight pants. I say tight pants because you have an erection, not like, emo kid pants. Gross. You think letting her see your notes will lead to wild parties where you guys hook up because you let her copy your notes. I’ll be frank; you’re wrong.

5. The Girl Who is…..Just a Bitch

No matter what day it is, Earth Day, Valentines Day, The End of Days, she’ll find something to complain about. God forbid if you disagree with her on her complaining, or there will be a clean incision where you head used to be, because she’ll bite it off. At the end of the class you’re left scratching your head honestly wondering what you said to set the rocket off, as she prowls to her next class, and her next victim.

Get the Girl: Picking Up Girls at the Beach

You’re finishing up those papers and exams that your professors have piled on right before Spring Break. The only thing on your mind is getting to the beach and meeting some sexy coeds. On top of that little taste of heaven, it’s getting hotter out by the day. Girls are wearing their skirts and tank-tops. Soon enough, you’ll be seeing them all in their bathing suits. While the great gods of Spring Break will make picking up girls as easy as hunting at the zoo or fishing in a fish tank, this article will expand your beach-game to have you ready for a warm spring and hot summer.

Although it is my job to turn you into a charismatic charmer, I highly suggest working out to have your body beach ready. Not sure how? Check out some of our workout articles. If there is one thing we’d like you to remember and realize, it would be that girls look at muscles the way that we look at breasts. We won’t ignore a girl without them and we won’t mention it or complain, but at the same time…having them is a difference-maker and puts you in a new league.

Anyway, let’s get down to business. You’re supposed to be a man of charisma, a man of smoothness. People should look at you and just smile, knowing you’re fun and cool to be around. From the drink in your hand, to the silence that carries over the room when you start to speak…all eyes are on you.

TOOLS

You MUST bring a cooler to the beach. Fill your cooler with good drinks, not Costco brand water. When (not if) you bring a girl over to your section of the beach, having something to offer her is key.
Bring a ball. Something to play with, something active. If you’re hunting for milfs and cougars, their little kids will come and ask to play with you, which sets you up gloriously. If you’re aiming to pick up college girls, they get bored easily and will ask to play. We recommend bringing a volleyball. Why? Because it’s easy to play, girls love it, and it’s laid back and fun. On top of that, it doesn’t put you and the girl 20 yards away from each other the way that a football, soccer ball, or baseball would. Being closer to each other means more conversation, more laughing, more interaction, and more comfort.

BREAKING THE ICE

There is no need for me to tell you that you should have a slight grin and smile on your face the majority of the time. People should look at you and think “great time.” Luckily for a stalker like you, it seems perfectly normal to just wander around the beach. Therefore, while you are smiling and taking a stroll, you’ll be seeing women that may be doing the same. Upon making eye contact with them, calmly say “I was going to wear the same bathing suit as you…it’s a good thing I didn’t because then we’d have problems.” Say it clear and make sure you are heard because if she says “say it again, I didn’t hear you” you’re going to feel slightly awkward. When she hears your ice breaker, I promise you…she’ll be smiling. Follow-up with a friendly “next time we may have to schedule to make sure we don’t end up matching.” Ice = shattered.

PLANTING THE SEED

Next time you cross paths with her, bring her a nice cold drink from your cooler. Tell her you “overstocked your cooler and thought you’d share your drinks with her.” Then playfully explain “just to make this clear, I’m offering you a drink…I’m not buying you a drink. You’re not really the type of girl I’d buy a drink for.” Make sure you smile while saying that or you may end up with a flip-flop across the face.

She’ll either laugh it off or say “oh yeah, what type of girl do you buy drinks for.” And this is where you explain that she shouldn’t take offense, you just buy drinks for fun girls who earn it (…pause…) by playing volleyball with you. She’ll then laugh at your double entendre and even if she doesn’t play with you…she is laughing and you have a gentle/fun bond with this smoking hot bikini babe.

Whether she plays or not…you need to leave soon. Simply say “thanks for entertaining me during my day at the beach. I love coming here and my friend that I used to go with me recently moved. If you ever need a ride to the beach or a person to go with, just scream my name at the top of your lungs or call me.”

This will then go one of two ways:

She will ask for your number or offer hers.
She will just crack up, which is also fine.

Not only did you spend the day with a hot girl at the beach, but the odds are greatly in your favor that you will see her again at the beach. Not only do most people always drive to the same section of the beach where they are familiar, but they usually look to put their towel down in the same vicinity too. Your time spent talking to her is an investment for the next time you cross paths, and is also practice for you pulling game on the next girl.

SECURITY

If ever, you see that a girl you have been hitting on has a boyfriend. Quickly shift the conversation to “anyway, I’ve been trying to find my girlfriend…have you seen her? Tall, thin, dark hair, light eyes, etc.” When the boyfriend approaches, he’ll see that you were just asking a friendly question and you can then even ask the boyfriend if he “saw your girlfriend.” This will save you from any confrontations.

Nothing beats guy time. The sports, video games, beer, the girls, and some more beer keep you smiling day in and day out.

Just think about your last roommate: Mine was Brian, and man do I remember some good times! Playing Madden and Call of Duty, picking up gorgeous women at parties, and throwing back beers after a long day of classes were regular activities in our room.

Then: Brian got a girlfriend.

As the days went by I saw less and less of Brian, and eventually he wouldn’t even come back to the room to crash. There is no doubt about it, Brian was whipped. I’m writing this to tell you how to prevent yourself from suffering the same fate I did, nobody wants to lose their best friend.

STEP I: MAKE NICE

The most important thing, if you are to succeed, is to be friendly with your best friend’s girl. Just be open to her and include her once in a while when you guys have parties or movie nights, etc.

This will prepare things so later on it is not weird for her to be sharing time with you. Also, she feels that you guys like her and is in turn kinder to your homeboy for having “such sweet friends”. This will also enable her to sometimes encourage him to hang out with his guy friends.

STEP II: DISTRACTIONS

Same as us men need our guy time, women need girl time. How many times have you heard the phrase “girls night“? Exactly. So, heres the second phase of our diabolical plan. Have your main man introduce his girl to some of your good friends who also happen to be girls.

Have them both included in some of your more social activities like games, sports or drinking. Not immediately, but soon enough, they will become inseparable. Voila! You just freed up a good amount of chill time with your best friend since his wifey will probably be shopping or getting a manicure with her new fem friend.

STEP III: TOUCHDOWNS AND TITTIES

Well it doesn’t have to necessarily be these things, but the idea is to pick activities normally reserved only for guys. Popular things are poker nights, the big game, beer, video games, strip clubs, play a rough sport (football?), band practice, and golf. These simple activities solve one complex problem… get the girl out of the picture! Unless she’s the perfect girl (unlikely) then there will be certain things that guys love and girls just aren’t too fond of.

Rather than you or your buddy telling her she’s not welcome, she will opt out on her own! Free man time and no guilty conscience!

Those three things pretty much cover all you’ll need to know to keep your best friend, your best friend! The goal here is to prevent your best friend form having to say “It’s just guys tonight honey,” and set him up for a ton of temper from her later on. This strategy should work on the majority of girls, but some are crazier than others. Should you end up with one of these cases then either you will have to make him suffer the consequences and tell her he just doesn’t want to spend every waking minute with her, or your going to have to learn how to seperate him from his clingy, crazy no good girlfriend.
