Planning a College Road Trip

There are a few things you will need to think about when planning an awesome college road trip. If you really want to make it something memorable, then the first thing you will have to do is work out all the initial details like who will be driving, which vehicle you’ll be taking, and coming up with a list of expenses. The last thing you want is to find out that you didn’t set aside enough for food or gas while you are on your road trip. All that should be figured out before you even leave.

Make sure that you have some killer tunes to play while you are on the road, because you will be doing a lot of driving. Load up the mp3 player with songs that everyone likes, so there aren’t a lot of arguments about what is playing all the time. Before you leave you will also want to look at what the weather is going to be like. You will want to plan for a day when the weather is not going to be terrible. Summer is the best time to take a road trip because you can get to wherever you are going as quickly as possible.

Take turns driving and don’t let anyone drive for more than six hours straight. Most of the time people who do this tend to lose their focus and that is how accidents happen. Any good road trip also needs snacks and different things to drink. Load up a cooler and throw in some soda to drink on the way. Although it may be tempting to speed on the freeway so you can get to your destination faster, speeding tickets are never fun. If you want to avoid unnecessary expenses, then make sure to stick to the speed limit when driving.
