Throwing A Kegger
There are a few very important steps to throwing an awesome kegger that you will want to know before starting to put everything together. You’ll want to make sure to get the keg full of beer close to when the party starts, so it will be cold and also the foam inside will have a chance to go down. Getting it 30 minutes before everyone starts coming is a good idea, and it will stay cold even in the warmer months like in summer.
You’ll have to decide on which kind of beer you want though. If you want to be cheap, then buy something like Papp’s Blue Ribbon and tell your friends it’s something like Sam Adams. You’ll end up saving a lot of money and your friends won’t know the difference when they drink it. Remember that a lot of party stores rent out kegs and taps, so hit those up for what you need. The more money you save the better, so look around before choosing a certain place to rent or buy from.
The next step is to tap the keg and get some of the party props ready. Some of these include ping pong balls for beer pong, cards for player games like poker, and anything else that seems like it would make the party a lot more fun for everyone who comes. Of course you can’t forget the blue and red cups for everyone to drink out of, and you will want to charge something like $5 for every cup so you can make back at least some of what you spent on the party supplies. Last but not least, make sure you and all of the people at the part keep an eye out for flashing lights outside, because if the party gets too crazy it could end up getting broken up by the cops.
