We know the deal, life is tough and there aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done. Thankfully, the TV Gods have given us Tivo which allows us to record our favorite programs so we can watch them when its convenient for us. Damn we have all gotten lazy. Here is a list of TV shows that you probably aren’t watching.
How I Met Your Mother- The show focuses around 5 New Yorkers in the late 20’s as they struggle through life. The crew consists of a couple, the hot Canadian chick, the womanizer and the main character Ted. The show’s premise is on how Ted meets his future wife. HIMYM is told very differently from any of the other shows on TV. Ted in the future is telling his teenage kids how he met their mother. All the scenes in the show are flashbacks that are cleverly tied together. HIMYM is probably the funniest show on CBS besides Two and a Half Men.
Saturday Night Live- I remember the old days of SNL where you had Chris Farley and Will Ferrell…those were the golden years. From 2002-2007 SNL suffered from low ratings because of terrible writing and horrible guest appearances. SNL thankfully has shaken up its staff and has booked A list celebrities and have writers who are actually funny.
It’s Always Funny in Philadelphia- I hate everything about Philly from the women to the sports teams and to the way the city smells. But I have to put all bias aside when watching this show because the show if comedic gold. There will be times where I am out in public and I will think back to a scene in the show and just start laughing in public. The writing and the delivery of the lines are terrific. Danny Devito deserves some kind of award for the performance he delivers.
Entourage- Many people don’t have HBO cause of the high price to subscribe. Thankfully Spike TV is bringing all the episodes of Entourage to its network. If you’ve never seen this show and call yourself a dude then you need to check this show out. The show is about an overnight movie star and his sudden rise to fame. May sound a little boring but it’s the cast that make this show a hit. Jeremy Piven is not to be missed as Ari Gold. You’ll find yourself quoting lines in no time. Oh yea, they also have the hottest girls on the show.
