Campus Gamer: Have the Most Entertaining Dorm

by The Kid on July 15, 2009

There are going to be those nights where you don’t feel like going out and partying and rather stay in your dorm room and play video games with your roommates.  Hell, sometimes you’ll probably get together to pre-game and play some videogames and next thing you know, you’re having a party.  But with so many different choices, which games are the best to play with a group of people?

GUITAR HERO | ROCK BAND

guitar hero

If you don’t know what this game is by now you might want to get out from under that rock you’ve been living under.  Guitar Hero/Rock Band is a great party game and allows up to four different players to play at the same time.  Each of you take a musical instrument, guitar, bass, microphone or drums, and play the notes as they appear on the screen.
F.Y.I. guys, it’s a big hit with the ladies.

MLB 09: THE SHOW

It has been hailed as the best baseball game ever to be created.  Not only does it track your wins and losses against other opponents, it also tracks your batting average and E.R.A. for every game you play.  So if you want to shove it in your roommates face that he is .124 against you, go ahead and be out guest.

MADDEN

Who doesn’t like football? It seems that almost everyone likes football, even if they don’t follow it everyone seems to have a favorite team.  Madden NFL football is easily one of the best games to play with your roomies.  It has all 32 NFL teams and players to choose from so beating your roommate with every possible team is something you can work on all semester.

Wii SPORTS

This game has easily changed the way that all party games are played.  Wii sports is a game that has baseball, golf, tennis, boxing and bowling all on one disc.  It seems like anyone can pick this game up and have a blast.  We strongly recommend having this on if you’re throwing a party.  There’s nothing like having a drunken bowling match with the cute girls from down the hall.

PUNCH-OUT

03

A blast from the past, Nintendo has remade it for the Wii.  Punch-out allows two players to box against one another with the hands free controllers.  There’s nothing like throwing a punch and hitting your roommate right in the chin.

MARIOKART

Also on the Wii, Mario Kart allows up to four players to race at once.  You can pick from 15 drivers with different attributes like speed, handling and acceleration.  There are over 30 different tracks to kick your friend’s ass on.  Also, a very big hit with the women.

CALL OF DUTY 4

Don’t want to drive with your friends?  Don’t want to box with them?  Oh you want to shoot them?  Try out Call of Duty 4.  You can play up to 4 players or up to 16 online.  You can choose to the terrorists or the anti-terrorists and choose from a wider variety of guns.
